Recently, many parts of upstate and central New York had intense flooding. Ithaca, NY was one of them. I parked my 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol the night before the floods to find the next morning that waters rose INSIDE the car up to 6 INCHES! Water shot twenty feet out of my tailpipe when we started it the first time. I thought, "This is it. I am going to have to look for a new car.". And would you believe it? After a quick fluids check, a wet vac and some drives through the hills with the top off and the floor board heat on, not only is she not a smelly, moldy mess but she is still running like a champ! Mother Nature tried to drown her and she fought back! Over 200,000 and still going strong! Maybe I will buy another Honda when my sweet little Del Sol reaches 300,000!
